The U.S. Consumer Bank (USCB) is seeking an experienced leader for a managerial role within its risk management team. This position will have accountability for risk systems, processes and data inputs and outputs driving business and risk strategy within the USCB businesses and unsecured lending product, portfolios and programs. As a risk strategy and execution leader, this role is responsible for ensuring that the impact and intent of the risk policies and strategies are are well-executed in a manner consistent with the intent of policy.


Additionally, this role will provide leadership on a variety of transformational risk initiatives and changes across the USCB businesses and coordinate these activities within the broader risk and business teams.


As a Senior Manager for USCB, youll be working closely with the CRO risk teams across the lines of business as well as with the independent risk team to develop and deploy policies and strategies. Key responsibilities include risk oversight for the data, policy and strategy execution, establishment of performance targets and benchmarks, risk policy and strategy execution, program, process and portfolio reporting, program development, administration and validation, automation of controls for stronger compliance and knowledge of operational practices. This role will monitor and ensure compliance with the Banks Global Consumer Group Fraud & Risk Policy (GCGFRP) and other applicable policies.


Based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, the role will provide leadership within the USCB business and work to define and execute risk policies and business solutions by providing analytical insight to enhance critical business decisions. This position will also help drive and shape various risk systems and processes so they are properly maintained and capable of executing the policies and strategies as intended, and deployed to maintain acceptable efficiency and effectiveness trade-offs and positive customer experiences within the unsecured product portfolios and programs.


The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, with 5+ years of experience in a large, sophisticated collection, credit granting or risk management environment and with an organization within a major consumer card, financial services, retailing or consulting business. This experience will have been gained in high volume, medium-to-highly complex environments, where leadership, risk assessment, technological sophistication, and data mining techniques are critical to success. This individual will promote a strong culture of effective leadership, teamwork and open participation.


_Essential Duties & Responsibilities:_


+ Manage the implementation and on-going execution of the risk policies and strategies for USCB, including pre and post-implementation testing and validation.

+ Manage and administer changes to key data structures, systems and interfaces including data attributes, models and rules within a variety of Systems, Databases and Supporting Utilities

+ Develop innovative solutions / options to drive stronger efficiency/effectiveness trade-offs, treatments and practices as well as to ensure recession readiness

+ Successfully lead various strategic initiatives and / or complex analytical projects within USCB focused on the transformation of the technology systems infrastructure and risk control processes.

+ Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships and networks to contribute and drive strong execution around key business initiatives.

+ Monitor policy and strategy execution, treatments and down-stream processes and ensure strong execution including monthly review of control reports, tracking and key performance metrics

+ Ensure compliance with Citis internal policies and external regulatory and policy compliance


_Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:_


+ Strong leadership track record, and experience dealing with a variety of card and/or unsecured ending disciplines

+ 5+ Years of Risk Policy and/or Risk Systems or Operations Experience

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills

+ Knowledge and proficient in risk systems and/or SQL and SAS programming

+ Experience in the design, implementation, validation and deployment of scoring and segmentation strategies and models

+ Working knowledge of the U.S. consumer lending environment


**Qualifications**


**Minimum Education:** BS/BA degree (advanced degree or equivalent education / experience is preferred)


**Minimum Experience:** Experience in related role with a portion of that experience in the unsecured lending business, strategy execution, operations and/or risk systems administration / mgmt. Additionally, a strong understanding of risk management concepts and strategies, credit card and/or installment lending operations, including compliance / regulatory environment and oversight is required.
