Program Manager - Risk Management

The Operational Excellence and Quality Team within Amazon Dx is seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional with a proven record of identifying, organizing, leading, and improving the risks of an organization in order to protect customer and processes.

This role, manages an ongoing Business Risk system administration supporting user interfaces and initial contact, input management for US and EU backup, program navigation and project template content. The role will also administrate the remediation and actions process including status and validation. Additionally the role will identify the program training requirements and content for Training Team support and development. Interface with dashboard data for metrics reporting and communications is required.

· Manage the Business Risk Program to include risk identification, assessment, remediation, cross-functional facilitation, and program administration.
· Own and develop relationships with key business stakeholder(s) to understand processes and proactively identify potential risks;
· Create and develop innovative approaches to risk identification and mitigation in a manner that effectively manages the risks while meeting the needs of internal customers and minimizing business impact;
· Coordinate and administer the systems and tools required for effective measurement, tracking and communication of risks, actions status, and learnings.
· Operate a rhythm of support, communications and guidance across the business for effective risk management and mitigation;
· Guide process owners in development and implementation of mitigation strategy including effective countermeasures, error-proofing and compliance audits, and implement the methods to monitor and report on success;
· Assist with linking policy, standard operating procedures, controls, monitoring, and reporting with the goal of improving operations, compliance policies, and risk management;
· Recognize and Drive cross-functional process improvement and control implementation projects through coordination with Project Management teams. This includes the resolution of risk identification and the execution of projects originated from internal assessments.


· 5+ years of experience in program or project management
· Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
· Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
· Experience creating sustainable processes with mechanisms used to ensure compliance with process


· Continuous improvement background (i.e. 6 sigma, ISO, Quality, FMEA, etc.)
· Experience working with global teams
· Excellent organizational skills with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
· Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
· Comfortable working with and presenting to business leadership on escalations and problem solving
· Ability to make decisions even in ambiguous situations
· Penchant for process improvement to mitigate risk and deliver a positive customer experience
· Attention to detail, strong communication skills and bias for action
· Experience working independently and autonomously
· Experience working collaboratively
· Experience using oral and written communication skills to propose complex solutions and explanations
