This is an opportunity to lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) activities for the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) Product Line as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.
This position will report in to the Finance Lead for ATS and will work closely with the three business areas that comprise Air Traffic Systems.
ATS has a diverse portfolio of customers, both domestic and international, as well as financial reporting responsibility for segments of Raytheon Technologies landed companies in both Canada and the UK.
With 2020 revenue of ~$400M, ATS is part of the Communications and Airspace Management Systems (CAMS) Mission Area in Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S).
The mission of ATS is to provide and support modernized airspace efforts with innovative, cyber-secure air traffic solutions for both military and civil markets.
As part of this role, the FP&A Manager will have the opportunity to lead and influence the activities of 40+ program controls analyst and business managers, as well as the broader matrixed Product Line organization.
This position will be responsible for coordination and preparation of various Product Line and Mission Area level financial deliverables, including Long Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly financial forecasts, close process, operational reviews, Short Range Outlook (SRO), EAC tracking, Overhead Budget/Forecast, weekly financial metrics reporting, and the ad-hoc reporting sent down from both RI&S and CAMS .
The ideal candidate will have a knack for integrating input received from multiple sources in order to analyze and recommend positions for ATS Bookings, Sales, Profit, and Cash Flow position.
Furthermore, this position will support and track investment activities (NBI, Capital, and IR&D) as well as inventory projects (CFR / AR).
The FP&A Manager will be expected to lead initiatives for developing and streamlining value-added processes and financial reporting activities.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to present to the ATS LT on various product line financial deliverables.
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone that can think strategically, multitask on a regular basis, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
There will be a significant reliance on the successful candidate to provide timely and accurate quantitative financial analysis to help support strategic decision-making within ATS. Position does not currently require direct supervisory responsibilities, but may in the future as the ATS Product Line continues to grow.
Required Skills:
Minimum 8 years of direct financial experience
Strong computer skills, including a high level of proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot Tables, Lookups, etc.)
Good written and verbal skills including a demonstrated ability to succinctly present complex information to all levels of management
Ability to create and present reports for internal / external reviews and present to senior management
Experience comprehending, explaining and implementing complex policies and processes across an organization
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to prioritize concurrent requirements and accommodate numerous stakeholders
Ability to work under general direction and actively participate in determining objectives of assignments
Desired Skills:
Proficiency with SAP/APEX, RPLAN, and Business Warehouse/Analysis (BW/AO) reporting.
Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), disclosure statements, indirect rate modeling
EVMS, Financial planning, and ROI modeling experience
Strong desire to learn and contribute in a dynamic and highly collaborative team-based environment
Understanding of Raytheon financial and accounting policies and procedures
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in the field of Business, Finance, Management, Economics, or Math and a minimum of 8 years
of direct financial experience, or directly related
Master degree
with 6 years of related experience
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
