DESCRIPTION

Have you ever thought about what it takes to be called the #1 most trusted company for customers? What would you do to create a trusted marketplace where millions of buyers can shop and have a perfect order experience? Amazon€™s Perfect Order Experience team works to ensure that Customers can buy with confidence on Amazon. We develop and implement technology innovations, programs, tools, and policies to protect the buying experience on Amazon while minimizing friction for our selling partners. Our team is constantly innovating on behalf of customers to solve business problems.

Our operations teams make thousands of investigation decisions each day which have major impacts on our Selling Partners and Customers. Many of these decisions are complex and require navigating challenging, ambiguous situations. We identify and train investigators who can adapt to new scenarios, think them through critically, and make good decisions consistently, day in and day out. But making good decisions means being familiar with the language of our policies as well as having a deep understanding of the spirit of them. As the Specialized Risk Programs Manager, you have primary responsibility for optimizing these decision-making processes. With a foot in both Policy and Operations, you will find ways to scale critical thinking that lead to both consistent and accurate decisions by our large investigator teams. You will also work to automate simpler tasks €“ simultaneously improving overall decision accuracy and freeing capacity for slower, more complex investigations requiring human judgment.

Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as the primary bridge between Policy, who determine €œwhat€ we should do, and Operations, who actually execute on those requirements.
· Closely monitor Operational Health metrics and Decision Quality metrics, and own adjustments to work-streams in order to maximize decision accuracy within available resources.
· Develop vision and roadmap for longer-term changes to operational capacity and staffing for transactional and specialized teams.
· Develop investigator training materials. Ensure that training accurately reflects the intent of the Policies as written.
· Develop and manage auditing mechanisms to pinpoint problem areas and make necessary corrections and adjustments, both at the individual investigator and broader team level.
· Defining team goals and roadmap, including reporting on progress of multiple projects and providing weekly updates on trends and performance against goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree
· 5+ years of Program Management experience, preferably in an e-commerce, social media, or similar online environment.
· Sound business judgment, attention to detail, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to think on your feet, and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
· Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
· Experience managing a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced degree
· Experience working with technology and science teams.
· Experience in retail, e-commerce, supply chain, operations, or logistics
