Position Summary:
This position requires a hands on and highly detail oriented individual who will participate in support activities including, Sales and Margin Analysis, Product Mix Analysis, New Opportunities & Bid Support, Operations Performance and KPIs, and Monthly Closing Process and Reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as financial business partner to the VP and EVP Commercial & Consumer Sales.
  • Applies principles of finance and accounting to various accounting duties related to the Product Line and Strategic Business Unit's financial and operational planning and reporting, including customer & product line sales margins and related analysis.
  • Produce Monthly Management Performance Reviews, Reforecasts, Budgets and Multi-Year Plans covering all lines of the P&L (Sales, Cost of Sales, SG&A).
  • Forecast, measure, report, and analyze variances in meeting Strategic Business Unit goals for key items including Orders, Sales, Gross Margin & EBIT.
  • Manage all aspects of centralized allocation activities including budgets, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Proactively assess risk, develop alternatives, and implement recommendations to ensure the Strategic Business Unit meet their financial and strategic commitments.
  • Work with Oracle, GL Wand and other native systems to support closing monthly ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the Oracle system financial submissions to the Sr. Staff.
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are adhered to and all information is reviewed for accuracy, consistency & integrity as agreed with the business and supplied in a timely & efficient manner.
  • Develop computer driven reports as well as the ability to analyze and interpret the resulting data.
  • Assist with both internal and external audits.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 6-10 years of manufacturing financial & accounting experience in a standard cost environment.
  • CPA, MBA or CMA a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office including advanced skills in Excel.
  • Prior experience with Oracle, GLWAND and HFM a plus.
  • Prior experience within High Volume Manufacturing a plus.
  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience.
  • Strong accountability and detail oriented; prepares accurate and timely work product.
  • Strong communication, presentation, leadership, interpersonal, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Well organized and self-directed with the ability to relate to all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
 
 

Working Conditions:

  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
