ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Finance Transformation & Governance Interest Rate Risk Senior Group Manager will be responsible for the execution, governance and program oversight for the interest rate risk transformation initiative. Accountable for budgeting, planning, contribution to future strategy and execution. Often requires managing through ambiguity and significant complexity. Management responsibility includes a team of direct reports along with influencing others with indirect authority. Requires collaborating across diverse, cross-discipline and often global activities. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary.

  • Participates in implementation management for the Interest Rate Risk strategic initiative and transformation
  • Assists in managing the end-to-end program tracking, reporting and implementation processes, communications and policies, as well as resource Planning and financial oversight (including staff and technology budgets).
  • Enables a foundational reporting infrastructure across Citi businesses and global functions by ensuring consistency within Finance and Risk
  • Responsible for determining approach to implementing functional strategy and execution in area managed.
  • Manages book of work ensuring appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place for execution
  • Often requires development of new concepts and approaches to solving issues affecting business, many times global in nature
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a Finance related field, advance degree in related discipline a plus.
  • 15 years of Financial Services; experience in Treasury or Risk preferred
  • Prior experience working on regulatory reporting initiatives and interfacing with both internal and external partners is preferred.
  • Requires advanced PowerPoint skills for Executive level presentations
  • Superior management skills with a proven ability to closely partner with senior and line managers and other stakeholders developing operational models.
  • Exceptional communications skills including strong written and verbal executive-level communication, including the ability to quickly adjust message based on different audiences and agendas.
  • Strong ability to influence people without direct authority; proven program management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to both independently and collaboratively solution complex and dynamic processes and the ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with risk measurement methodologies a plus
