POSITION OVERVIEW

Directs and oversees the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) by defining and leading program and project management best practices, policies, procedures, and processes. Establishes and administers a project portfolio roadmap that aligns with organization’s goals and objectives.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains project management and professional-level staff in the department.

  • Oversees the schedules and responsibilities of staff in the department.

  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

 

CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supports a formal, documented Portfolio Management (PMO) methodology including establishing uniform project processes, IT governance, and project performance standards.

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and tracks all major program components including costs, schedules, resources, deliverables, etc.

  • Develops a strategic plan to effectively manage projects across C-Path’s portfolio and drives the tactical implementation of that plan.

  • Leads process development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Directs C-Path’s portfolio management review board.

  • Administers change management efforts and generates project and program status reporting.

  • Manages budget for the PMO office, including accurately forecasting costs, operating within established budgets, and attaining margin improvement objectives.

  • Measures, analyzes, and reports on portfolio performance.

  • Provides direction and standards for consistent project management tool utilization.

Implements program/project management standards and best practices based on measurable success criteria.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience creating and implementing project management practices within an organization required
  • Experience working in and managing in a matrix organization preferred
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • At least five years of related experience required, with high-level management experience preferred.
