Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:  The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions for Crossroads, Inc. and its consolidatd subsidiaries; and is accountable for accuracy and timeliness of month end financial reports in the ERP system.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, support and develop a team of accounting and payroll staff to meet their essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial information necessary for an accurate accounting and reporting of consolidated business results per US Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
  • Prepare month end reporting financial packages for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership team, including variances explanations against approved budgets.
  • Coordinate with COO (or designee) and CFO to continuously adjust (or develop) financial ERP reports for internal management to allow monitoring of revenues, expenses and performance against budgets.
  • Oversee outsourced revenue billing and collection functions, provide periodic updates to the CFO and escalate potential issues where necessary.
  • Develop accounting policies and document key financial controls that mirror current ERP workflows, updating where necessary.
  • Be point of contact for financial liaison with external audit and grant agency matters.
  • Assist the CFO and / or serve as back up for CFO where necessary.
  • Special projects, as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree and 5+ year’s direct experience in same or similar role.
  • Experience managing a team of 3 or more direct reports a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and process automation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred but not a requirement
  • ERP NetSuite (cloud) hands on experience preferred but not a requirement.

    • While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
