Performing high quality, risk-focused fieldwork, inaccordance with Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards in orderto identify meaningful issues, risks and other exposures related to model riskin Finances Corporate Treasury functions, and Risk Management areas focusingon the Enterprise-wide management of Operational, Market, and Credit risks. Theposition requires special skills (eg. mathematical, statistical, quantitative,economic, and business knowledge and modeling experience). This individual hasa unique and advanced skill set that warrants additional tacticalresponsibility. Auditors at this level will be expected exercise good judgmentand work, at times, independently. Tests model development and model validationprocesses as per the Supervisory Guidance on Model Risk Management and theBanks Model Risk Management policies, standards, and procedures. Creates andmaintains accurate and clear work documents. Complete tasks efficiently (ontime, on budget, accurately). Learns new businesses, processes and regulationseffectively and quickly. Begin to supervise/mentor/guide other auditors onteams. Engages in relevant training regarding audit, businesses, financialcontrols, regulations or a modeling specialty. Demonstrates understanding ofbusiness knowledge and processes through flowcharting, workpapers, analysis,issue identification and discussions with managers, project leaders, andauditees. Work on projects of great complexity that involves significantunderstanding of the regulatory requirements, business models and processes foreach assignment. Must be able to quickly assimilate new information in order toanalyze the risks and controls effectively. Leverages advanced businessknowledge or experience in order to practice strategic or systemic results.Must be able to think creatively, take direction and offer guidance ifnecessary. Specialists may have different roles depending on their departmentbut all will need to be able to use their skills to fins effective solutions toproblems as part of the day-to-day business. Contribute to highly technical andspecialized audit issues with advanced skill sets or business knowledge notreadily available in the department. Identify problems that are not consistentwith past audits and structure solutions and remedies to bring issues toresolution. Actively take part in advancing recommendations. This level ofAuditor is proficient with programming languages used for model development andvalidation, such as Matlab, R, C++, Python, etc. leverages knowledge ofbusiness strategies, processes and regulations in order to effectively andquickly anticipate the changing nature of risk. Demonstrates these skillsthrough advanced analysis of business processes and issue identification, aswell as discussions with the audit manager and auditees. The individual worksclosely with an Audit Manager, other Auditors, and auditees (the client) oneach project. This requires both good oral and written communications skillsand an ability to be sensitive to the needs of clients and team members. Mustbe able to keep sensitive information confidential and know how to useappropriately.






Qualifications

Qualifications: Advanced Degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative fields are required; Strong quantitative and analytical background coupled with strong theoretical foundation and good communication skills preferred. 6 years modeling / quantitative experience. 6-8 years relevant experience including experience in model audit or the relevant specialty area such as model development, model validation, stress testing, and capital planning.
