Assists with implementing process improvement initiatives that support the reduction of patient/health errors and other factors that contribute to unintended adverse patient outcomes. Assists with safety assessments, staff education on the system-based causes for patient errors, and implementation of evidence-based programs that support effective patient safety strategies. Gathers and analyzes data and prepares reports to management and outside agencies as requested. Actively participates in the patient safety committee.
Minimum Education Requirements
Minimum Experience Requirements
Three years of experience in a healthcare environment
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Strong computer skills
Previous experience with regulatory requirements, safety/risk/quality management and education, preferred
Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS and State of Colorado hospital standards, regulations and occurrence reporting requirements, preferred
Experience in clinical operations and/or experience working in performance improvement or quality management areas, preferred
Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
