A global name with more than $1 trillion under management, our client is already regarded as one of the leading names in Infrastructure & Energy Debt, with a leading position in the highly developed European market. Now with serious aspirations to build a strong presence in the Americas, and already with two or three significant deals under their belt in the US, we have been mandated to build an Americas team to be based in New York.
Reporting to the incumbent Head of Americas and the incoming Senior Director, the successful candidate will be instrumental in the build-out of the Americas franchise of this very successful brand. You will support your seniors in originating new opportunities across the Infrastructure and Energy sectors across the region, and take serious responsibility on the execution thereof.
Due to the entrepreneurial nature of the team at this stage in its development, you will be expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities. On one hand this will involve responsibility for aspects of financial modelling, credit analysis and due diligence (although there is a more junior team member already in situ). On the other hand it means you will be put in situations that are perhaps above your immediate pay grade and which you wouldn't get exposure to in a larger team in a bank for quite some time to come.
The successful candidate is most likely to be joining from a leading project finance platform within a bank in the US. You will be a pragmatic self-starter with a sense of humour and no apparent ego issues. Beyond this, you will demonstrate:
- Experience from a top investment bank's project finance team or Big 4 Advisor's Infrastructure Advisory
- 2-4 years' total work experience
- Highly developed financial modelling skills
- Exemplary credit training will be evident
- Your deal exposure to date will be debt-oriented and will have been within the Infrastructure, Energy and Power & Utilities sectors – no applicants looking to 'move across' will be considered
If you satisfy all the above criteria, please send your CV and a covering note to Mercedes Perez, at firstname.lastname@example.org
